I wondered if they scared the butterflies off, but didn't know they may eat the eggs or caterpillars. That's disappointing. I have noticed that I can get pretty close taking photos and they don't seem to mind.Corner Gardener Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10631500918579405664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196958089933062632.post-28051066492118656102009-09-02T10:45:58.483-04:002009-09-02T10:45:58.483-04:00B & K - you are probably correct. That way maybe the wasps wouldn't find all the Monarch eggs and eat them.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17822528453563683772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196958089933062632.post-90281712212196730752009-09-02T09:23:00.444-04:002009-09-02T09:23:00.444-04:00For what you have written..., I guess you may have...For what you have written..., I guess you may have another go at bikerbarus...Bangchik and Kakdahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12539360678677230463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196958089933062632.post-13599105923043218212009-08-26T17:54:45.313-04:002009-08-26T17:54:45.313-04:00The m. punctata doesn't even attract BEEs, jus...The m. punctata doesn't even attract BEEs, just these ornery things. And even the m. citriodora attracts yellow jackets and another little kind of hornet. I'm pretty sure now I won't grow either of them next year. I'm trying to run a nice place... LOL I'm actually considering going out one night and pulling up all this monarda.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17822528453563683772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196958089933062632.post-8853977359131621212009-08-26T17:25:50.560-04:002009-08-26T17:25:50.560-04:00I bet it reseeds like crazy too. I try to stay away from it if I can. ;)Tom - 7th Street Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03416233066465228351noreply@blogger.com
