==================================================================================

December arrived at midnight with the rain changing over to snow.  Actually I'm pretty happy about it.  December looks a little more stable than that bi-polar schizophrenic November.  (You couldn't count on ANYthing in that month!  Real whiplash weather.)

But as the extended forecast shows (all the way to the middle of the month) December should follow the above chart.  (Actually it's always 4-5 degrees colder at my place than what they call for.  Like today the high has only been 28.)

Finally, some stability!  Even if it IS cold and filled with flurries.  I'm ready for it....! :-D

P.S.  That's Stark county under the bid red dot on the radar map.

  5. Hi Kris,
Your weather looks to be similar to ours for the week. I haven't seen any extended forecasts here. I clicked on your photo to see it larger, and shivered when it popped up.

I think November went by faster for me than any other month this year. I hope the rest of the winter goes by as quickly. Just think, in a few weeks, the days will start getting longer. :o)

  6. Kyna - Yeah, whoa there. Don't want you to hurrrrrrrrrt yourself! :-D

CG Sue - November is always kinda unsettling what with shutting down the gardens, b'days for me and Mom, Thanksgiving, weather changes, etc etc. I'm always glad when it's done and we can just get on with winter. *whew*

  7. Kris, we are going to China to experience the cold next week. We have never felt it. I'm ready for December (in China) too. :-)

  8. Ha Xuan. You have never felt cold?! Oh, my dear, you are in for a shock, to be sure! And if there is wind it will feel doubly cold. Bundle up and enjoy the experience. Take pics. I'm looking forward to that blog post! :-D

  9. Today even with the 20's, it seemed OK because there was no wind!

I do love being snug inside when it's gold out especially if I have a good book to read............and I do.

  10. Glenda - still in the low 20s with blustery winds and spitting snow. As for reading a good book, I'm still antsy, can't settle down. Although I've physically moved inside for winter, I haven't mentally made the adjustment. For the next couple of months I'll feel sorta caged until I can spend most of the day outdoors... I must have chlorophyll for brains. ;-D

  11. I've been stuck inside with illness all week and I've been pining to get outside. I share your cabin fever.

  12. Linda - Hope you are on the mend. Looks like you have to cope with a lot more snow than usual right now. Stay warm and safe.

  13. On really cold days I always end up perusing my favorite nursery websites, ending up with a cart full of fabulous plants that I usually don't have room for! And then when they arrive in the spring, I've forgotten I've ordered them!

  14. I have a hard time remembering what it was like gardening up north. I'm fretting over the 35 degree low we are expecting tonight here in Houston. It's so surreal to look at your pictures.

  15. TS - Too early for me to seed shop. I still have to clean out the basement before I take anything else down there!

Hi there, HGG. Well, living where you are I, too, would be concerned about those temps. Up here...it's normal. As for the pics - hey, it's not even officially winter yet! Keep watching.... :-D
