Alll wound up

It flurried for several hours last night, adding to the snowpack.

Everything looks so snug under the soft white blanket.

Once I get used to winter (takes a few weeks), I really enjoy the cold and the snow.   On snowy days I go out often to sweep a path to the bird feeders and enjoy being outside.

And sometimes, when I sweep, I veer off the straight and narrow.

If I weren't expecting company today, I'd have doodled all the way out to the street.

Folks used say that, after a very very busy career, I would be really bored when I retired.

LOL  I'll let you know if that ever happens..... ;-D

  1. Yeah, that's what they said about me too. They said, "You can only get a house SO clean." And I said, "what makes you think I'm going to spend all my time CLEANING????" Heh. I have not missed working for a living. Not once in three years now.

Loved your snow doodle. We haven't had any snow here yet, but might get some next week.

  2. Your photos made me smile! They remind me of those gardens where you're supposed to meditate as you walk towards the middle. I think laughing is more fun. :o)

  3. You sweep the driveway???? If ours gets too bad, DH gets out the tractor with the blade and "sweeps".
There are some definite advantages in living out of civilization!

Well, ladies, I missed the dairy for a long time! DH did not. I never had a career off the farm, out of the house, etc., once the children came along. Sometimes I regret than; others I do not.

    Light snow here.

  4. Ilene - I miss the work that I did, but not the office politics!

TS - I always think 'meditation' when I make spirals. When I mow the lawn inside the bee ring, I go counterclockwise - and spiral into the center. It's very calming.

Glenda - There was about 3-4" of snow on the driveway with more to come. I make an initial path out to the feeder every morning, then, if I need the driveway, I'll blow off the rest of the snow. Hope you get a pretty coat of white.

  5. I had a busy career but I'm not bored now that I'm retired. In fact, for the past 2.5 years, I enjoyed more as I have had more time to myself.

The markings you made on the snow look very interesting, Kris.
