Finally - we're getting some RAIN today. (Happy Dance) August has been soooo dry, not really all that hot, but dry. I've got the windows open so I can hear it patter on the roof and leaves. Ooooh. Some thunder. Fingers crossed we'll get something really measurable out of this radar.
Meanwhile, the birds are keeping a close eye on the birdbath. It great to see plops and splashes.
It's a little late for us, but hope the rain makes your garden thrive.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
:)
I don't think thrive, but survive this time of year. Grass is green but soil is hard. Wishing for some soakers but not holding my breath. I'm keeping my relocated/smaller veg bed going, though. I keep reading your blog and seeing how much your ARE getting this year in spite of no rains. Impressive.
DeleteSend it my way when you're done! Bone dry over here and running up the water bill. Hope you're feeling better! Thanks for the offer on the white agastache seeds but I don't have room for another giant plant. I actually emailed the wrong Kris about the seeds. Ooops!
ReplyDeleteSorry, that whole colorful radar turned out a fizz. Only .7" out of it and the 2nd that followed down never even made it here. Mailed the wrong Kris? Kringle? LOL
DeleteEvery little drop counts.
ReplyDeleteWe are still very hot and dry here too. But our earlier long-lasting rains saved us.
You bet, I got to fill 1.25 rainbarrels and that was a blessing. Now it's back to watching rain skirting all around Stark County and that is just so frustrating. Glad your gardens are doing well this year.
