Friday morning it started to spit a wintery mix. Then, in early afternoon, Cleon swept through with heavy snow. By evening (pic) the deck was getting deep and by this morning there was 6+ inches.
We are in a lull now between this storm and the next (Dion). The skies cleared overnight and right now it is early and still dark outside so the stars are bright. Alas, Ison is not part of this starry show.
A day of shoveling out again. Good thing there's still a good bit of dry firewood already stacked in the garage. I had a nice warm blaze yesterday during the storm and will most assuredly have another tomorrow during Dion (followed by yet another dig out day).
Lather, rinse, repeat. *sigh* It's going to be a long winter.
I have been hearing that they are naming storms now. It looks like a nice fire to keep you warm during any storm.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least by naming them, we can refer to any particular storm when we gripe. *heh* Was wondering how you were faring in Iowa what with the cold. Hope you are warm and snug too, Larry. Wonder how bad Dion is going to be.
