Otherwise, she is here and resting comfortably (between gauze changes).
I got her a bagful of DVDs of old TV shows and a movie to watch while she's here. There is blessed little on TV anymore, yet monthly prices just keep going up.
So between her books, some TV, card games and temping soft foods she should be enticed to stay 2 nights here.
We have a follow-up appointment next week with the dentist. Keep your fingers crossed.
I spent so much time getting Mom calmed down, etc. over the past 3 weeks while I searched for an oral surgeon, got her to medical checkup, scheduling, etc. etc. that I'm assuredly more of a wreck than she ever was. LOL

I'm off to make some cream soup (split pea) for lunch later today. Thank you all for your good wishes and kind comments.
I'll keep you posted. :-D

Glad to hear the op went well. Your mom must be tickled with the old movies - clever girl :)
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear it went well. I'm with Dani---you came up with a good idea with old movies. I bet she really appreciates all you're doing. Take care
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief for you both. I agree about TV! what a waste of good money....I bet she loves the old movies.
ReplyDeleteDani, Sue & Glenda - thanks so much for checking in on Mom's progress. I'm really glad I was able to have her here for the early part of the recovery when things could go wrong. Your support is truly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteJeph. Hi. Long time no see. Hope you won't stay away so long next time. Enjoy our first whole spring day - we got 2+ inches of snow this morning!
