While here I kept her calm with vids and card games and food. And lots of naps.
This morning the forecast HAD been 53F and perhaps some rain.
It was cold (18F) when I took Mom home and there was a heavy frost.
Coming BACK from Mom's however -- WHITE OUT and I slid off the road. (No prob getting back on.) The roads were horribly slick and dangerous and you couldn't drive more than 20mph.
Yep - Spring in Ohio. *sigh* (Rain gauge kinda useless right now, but you can see the snow is already to 2" within the past hour.)
I think I need a nap.
I feel for you and that never ending snow. I`ve sown some seeds here at the south coast of Britain already. Cabbages, tomatoes and lettuce. Our spring had finally arrived a few weeks ago and I can`t wait to get my garden full of lovely veggies.
ReplyDeleteI am SO SICK OF SNOW! And I envy you getting out in the garden! I hope your weather holds. I hope OUR weather doesn't!
DeleteI just got here from a blog where the gal had all kinds of daffodils and muscari blooming. I couldn't believe the eye-popping colors. After 5 months of gray, gray, and um, gray----I don't think my eyes can comprehend color-LOL!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least we're down to the final 2 feet of snow. I hope to get rid of that in the next 2 weeks. Then, slap up some cold frames and we'll forget all about that s.....sn.....sno.........oh hell, I can't even say it!
2 feet? Oh you poor girl. At least day warmed to 40 and our snow has melted. (For now....!)
DeleteYou poor thing; not more snow! Well, to make you feel like you are not alone: Two nights this first week of spring will be down to 20° here,
ReplyDeleteGoing to barely get into 30s this week - but a brief warmup for next weekend. Thankfully I'm not chomping at the bit to get outside. I've got all those greens to tend in the basement.
