The sky was breathtaking this morning!

Sailor take warning....

Yep, winter storm Orko is bearing down on us later today, but all we're expecting here in NE Ohio is some mild temps and rain.  I can live with that.

Meanwhile, more food adventures.  I must be the last person on the planet to taste an avocado.  Crazy, huh?  No more samo samo in my kitchen these days. LOL

As for something ELSE green...

  1. Nothing nicer than an avo S&P sandwich. find I crave it all summer, as avo's are only available in winter here...

    1. What is "S&P" ? Markets here, too, have avos this time of year.

    1. Yep. Same bad stuff here. Too bad, they are really lovely when good.

  3. Bilbo, you are right! I finally splurged and bought myself 2 (DH won't touch them) and they were no good at all. Lots of black spots even thought they were very firm to touch. On sale at .89 each......

    1. I bought 4 avo first time - only one wasn't black inside. Don't know why I even tried again, but glad I did. Still - way too expensive if most of them just get tossed.

  4. I tried to open your Plant Propagation link but it said it was open to invited readers only. ?? I'm going to try winter sowing some seeds this week - all annuals, except one perennial (dalea). Any advice? I've never done this before but I'm excited!

    2. Okay, fixed that. Somehow the setting had been changed. Read away now. Sorry... Hope you find some info there.
